By the 1920s, steam cars had fallen out of fashion; though they had good range and great engine power, they were difficult to maintain and operate. The production of the Brooks in Canada caused a scandal after the company’s founder made off with millions of dollars worth of shares.
This Brooks is one of eight known surviving examples.
