The Canadian Automotive Museum is a family-friendly venue with a activities and events for all-ages. Children under 5 to to teenagers are capitivated by the cars on display.

Family & Kid's Activities

Whether you are on a family road trip across Canada or live in Oshawa, the Canadian Automotive Museum is a great place to bring the kids. The museum's collection of cars captivates kids from under 5 to teenagers. Activities and worksheets are available in the galleries to keep family members of all attention spans entertained. Kids will enjoy getting their picture taken in authentic 1926 Chevrolet or a mini McLaughlin-Buick.

Summer Programs

Kids Day Weekend: Lights, Cameras, Cars!

August 10 & 11, 2019 - 10am to 4pm

Join us at the Museum for a glamourous movie-themed day of crafts, scavenger hunts, family-friendly tours, and a Hollywood photo shoot fit for the stars!

Activities to look forward to - design the logo of your own movie star car, look for props in our scavenger hunt to win prizes, draw your own movie poster, and walk the red carpet to your own opening night photo shoot.

No reservations required. Regular admission rates apply, kids under 5 and members free. This program is recommended for ages 3-10.

Queen & Daimler

The perfect family photo

Take a picture in our mini-Buick or a full-sized 1926 Chevrolet Depot Hack in the lobby, or with our 1969 Daimler limousine. Kids will enjoy this unique historical experience and parents will garner loads of social media likes.

Children's Crafts and Activity Days

During Family Day, March Break, Kids Day, Doors Open Oshawa, and Winter Break at the Canadian Automotive Museum families can take part in special crafts and activities. Children can make a race car crafts, enjoy holiday activity sheets, and test their riddle-solving skills on Scavenger Road. Visit our events page for more information on upcoming activity days.

Guided Tours

Take a guided tour of the Canadian Automotive Museum galleries with one of our knowledgeable guides. Guided tours are available daily throughout the summer months and on Saturdays year-round. Afraid your children don't have the attention span? Our guides bring the collection to life with exciting stories of high speed races, daring criminals, and more than a few comical characters. Special themed tours are also available throughout the year with topics including spooky Halloween stories and romantic Valentines tales. Spend a Day with the kids in Oshawa

There's tons for families to do in downtown Oshawa. Grab lunch while you are downtown at one of Oshawa's great local restaurants and head to another of Oshawa's great local attractions.
