Third Thursday Talk: The Mazda MX-5 Miata - an enthusiast's perspective

  • Canadian Automotive Museum 99 Simcoe Street South Oshawa, ON, L1H 4G7 Canada (map)

Mazda unveiled their first Miata in 1989. Since then they've produced more than one million of these high-powered roadsters, one of the most popular sports cars ever built. Join President of the Trillium MX-5 Miata Club Gary Svoboda to learn about the development, history and evolution of four generations of MX-5 Miata.

This online talk will take place over Zoom and is part of the Canadian Automotive Museum's Third Thursday lecture series. These online talks are free and open to the public, but registration is required. The Canadian Automotive Museum is a registered Canadian charity and a suggested donation of $10 goes toward covering the cost of hosting these virtual events. Donors who make an annual contribution of over $25 will receive a charitable tax receipt.

About Our Speaker

A Mazda owner since 1984 (when he purchased his first RX-7), Gary currently has two Miatas- a 2019 30th Anniversary Edition in “Racing Orange”, and a 1999 10th Anniversary Edition in “Sapphire Blue Mica”. Like many of the 300+ members of the GTA-based Trillium MX-5 Miata Club, Gary participates in dozens of club drives and meetings every year, around some of the best driving roads in Ontario and beyond, and is well-versed on all things Miata.
