Third Thursday Talk: The Wanderwells: Early Automotive History’s Most Glamorous Couple

Laurel Corona will discuss Walter (“Cap”) and Aloha Wanderwell’s automobile expeditions across five continents between 1922-1932, which are legendary for Cap’s remarkable travel-adapted Model T’s and Aloha’s fame as his beautiful and courageous young partner. 

This online talk will take place over Zoom and is part of the Canadian Automotive Museum's Third Thursday lecture series. These online talks are free and open to the public, but registration is required. The Canadian Automotive Museum is a registered Canadian charity and a suggested donation of $10 goes toward covering the cost of hosting these virtual events. Donors who make an annual contribution of over $25 will receive a charitable tax receipt. 

About Our Speaker

Laurel Corona is the author of five historical novels, including Aloha Wanderwell Takes the Wheel. A retired professor of Humanities at San Diego City College, and a dual citizen of the US and Canada, she now lives in Victoria, BC.  When she is not writing, she travels around the world as a destination and enrichment lecturer for several luxury cruise lines.
