50 Oldsmobile 57 Regent

Built in Oshawa, this 1950 Futuramic Oldsmobile, also known as the Rocket 88 came with a high compressed V8 making 135 horsepower. It is known as the first muscle car ever. This particular car retains it’s original green paint and three of its original tires.

The Canadian-built 1957 Dodge Regent was a model only available in Canada and the first Dodge ever to be sold in Canada. It became the most popular model built that year with over 17,000 units produced. Buyers had the option of an 8-cylinder engine, electric windows, and other modern conveniences.

Come into the Canadian Automotive Museum to learn more about these and other classic mid-century Canadian vehicles.
