1914 Galt Gas-Electric
Our Galt Gas-Electric Touring car is the last remaining car of the two produced in 1914. Manufactured in Cambridge, Ontario, the Galt Gas-Electric ran on a combination of gasoline and kerosene with a gasoline battery, which worked a turbine that generated electricity. Only reaching a top speed of 48 KMH (30 MPH), the Galt could travel 112 kilometers (70 miles) on a single litre of gasoline. Come into the Canadian Automotive Museum today to learn more about this fascinating early electric car. It is currently on loan to the Petersen Automotive Museum.
